FAIREST CAPE (scale 1:100 000)
The brand new 1:100 000
Fairest Cape Topographical map has just been published. This map is the result of some
innovative and radical thinking by S&M staff and should prove to be a best seller with
the tourist industry. It covers the Cape Peninsular area and shows all major places of
interest including hotels, golf courses, shopping malls, wine farms, tourist attractions,
hospitals, hiking trails, nature reserves, police stations and general places of interest.
Relief is depicted by means of hill shading and gives a striking 3D effect to the map. All
in all a really superb product and we would welcome your comments and opinions regarding
the map.

SOUTH WESTERN CAPE (scale 1: 250
000)
A really exciting new 1:250 000 scale map
providing a single sheet coverage of the South Western Cape has been published early in
2000. Map users previously wanting such a map had to purchase four sheets and join them.
This new sheet depicts all the detail usually encountered on the 1:250 000 topo-cadastral
map series, but with cadastral and magisterial information excluded to reduce clutter. The
map coverage extends from Velddrift in the North to Pearly Beach in the South and
Eastwards to include Worcester.
