WALL MAP OF SOUTH AFRICA (scale 1:1 000 000)

A map of South Africa at a scale of 1:1 million consists of four sheets designed to be joined together to make a wall map of the whole of South Africa. The joined size is 1.56 x 1.76m (height x breadth). The depiction of elevation is enhanced by hill shading.

The 1:2½ million Southern Africa map is a wall map of the southern part of Africa. South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Namibia, Botswana and portions of Zimbabwe and Mozambique are included on this map.

The series of provincial maps provides a map of each province, on its own in a single sheet. The maps are designed mainly for administrative purposes and depict the cities, towns, smaller urban centres, district/regional councils, rural councils (rural local government) and magisterial districts, as well as the main road and rail networks, main rivers and dams, nature reserves and airports.

With the whole province shown on one sheet, the scale of the map of each province varies depending on the size of the province. The scales are as follows :
