The MapTrix Kit
Who is it for?
Anyone who needs to use the South African 1:50 000 topographic map.  This is the latest product in our range of teaching aids.  This self-instruction map reading course has been designed for those studying geography up to Grade 12 or beyond, either in the classroom or as part of a self-study programme at home.  The playing card format provides a fun introduction to topographic map reading and lays the foundation for map analysis and interpretation.
What is it?

The kit is packed in an A3 box (4,5 cm deep) containing 52 map exercises on work cards using the self-instruction method to improve map reading performance.  A booklet guides learners through the programme and provides space for answering the graded questions.  Learners use the answer cards to mark their exercises.  They graph their progress so that tutors or teachers can monitor performance and offer guidance where necessary.  Carefully researched learning materials, developed according to the principles of outcomes based education, were found to improve map reading performance during trials.

How to get it?
